Hmm, I wish I'd realized there is an error a long time ago! I will check it out and email you (as well as post a correction). Likely won't be before the weekend, though...

Hello :-). I'm knitting these socks at the moment and loving them, but I can't figure out turning the heel at all - it keeps coming out crooked. A few people on Ravelry who've knitted them have commented that there's a typo in the heel instructions, but frustratingly none of them said what it was or what they did to fix it, just said that it was easy to sort out :-D. I'm fairly new to sock-knitting so it's not obvious to me - any chance you could check the pattern please? Thanks!

Jan, there are several places on the web where you can get instructions for the three-needle bind-off. Try www.knittinghelp.com for a video explanation. Knitty has a description in the Fall '06 issue. And there are plenty more.

Next time I'm doing this bind-off I'll try to remember to get Frank to take some pictures and I'll do a write-up myself. Things are a bit crazy chez Lunamoth this week, though, so it may not be till next week.

Thanks for allowing us to print your "Super" sock patterns!
Both patterns say to do a 3 needle bind off. How do you do this?
Thanks again,
Always Jan

Well, I've made them in this size for guys without any complaints, but there's so much variation between people. They fit me quite comfortably, and my ankle is 9.5" in diameter. The widest part of my calf is 14" (the socks don't go up quite that far, though, but it should give you an idea).
