This is a quick, super-warm knit done in a lopi-style yarn (in this case it’s a custom yarn of 80% alpaca, 5% merino and 15% bamboo, so it’s snuggly *and* luxurious!).
I used 6 oz (170 gm) yarn and US 11 (8 mm) needles to make a scarf 7 x 70″ (18 x 180 cm).

Thank you for the lovely pattern, Nicole. I’ve downloaded and saved it. Is there nothing you can’t do???? I’m guessing your fingers are back to working order, yes? I am still hobbling on the fingerless mitts. I have started over at least 100 times. Not even sure I have enough yarn left to do both of them. I do, however, have two rows on the needles. I was ready to start the cable pattern when I realized I had my stitches in reverse order (as they were designated to be on the needles per pattern). Normally wouldn’t be a problem, I don’t think, except the cabling pattern would have gone across two of the three needles. I figured it was better to have them on the one they were supposed to be on, so yes…started over yet again! Sigh…Wish Ottawa was the next town over. HAH!!! LOLOL It IS the next town over from where I live! Alas, not same country though.
This is a lovely pattern, thanks for sharing it. I’ll be making this one for sure … a person can never have too many scarves during the chilly Ontario winter.
Thank you so much for offering such nice patterns for free on your website! I have been checking in your blog ever since my friend Kathy gave me your address. She knows you through a friend who came to help paint your house… a while ago. I really like your style and the way you knit… very beautiful! Thanks again!
Thanks for the pattern, I really enjoyed knitting it and I’m about to cast it on again
