We’ve long been planning to sell our house, buy a fifth-wheel and travel around the States and Canada, painting and photographing to our hearts’ content. We finally took matters in hand and listed the house on Oct. 16th, and on Oct. 17th we had the house sold. Whew. Still makes my head spin!
Our last day here is Nov. 20th, so we are frantically packing (house, barn and workshop), rounding up storage, looking at potential trucks and trailers, sorting out how we’re going to have internet access while we’re on the road, figuring out where we want to actually *go* and in what order, and just generally getting ready for a year or so of travelling.
I’m *so* looking forward to having this in-between bit behind us, and the open road in front of us….

Wow, what a quick sale. Good luck with the packing and then the purchasing of a motor home to travel in. What a wonderful life you will have.
I still am in awe over how quickly your place sold, sock bits and all! LOL Exciting times ahead, darlin’. Keep that in the front of your head as you are doing the in-between stuff. It helps!
You already know that I will miss our gettogethers. Not sure if I should look at the trailer as I might sell my place and find a corner in it to come along.. LOL. I am already looking forward reading your blog, dreaming when seeing the pics and probably emailing you a lot of questions about knitting and dyeing. See you in a couple of weeks.
Sounds like fun Nicole. My parents have been on the road for a couple of years solid in their coach and love it. My mom is an Internet junkie and she always seems to find a wireless connection where they stay. She also connects with her 3G cell phone when they don’t have other means. Good luck!
I’m so happy for you! Will you keep a PO Box at the post office to have things mailed to you? I won’t send anything too cumbersome since you’ll be traveling. My email will change again on Tuesday (we’re going back to Telus,) but I don’t know if I can get the same email name again (the same as now but with telus.net at the end.) I’ll let you know. I bet you’re excited!
