Edge of the Woods

Well, yesterday it finally happened: I had to turn on the heat when I came downstairs in the morning.  First time this autumn, and certainly not the last, although today it is much warmer again and no extra heating is required.  The forecast for the rest of the week looks pretty moderate, in fact, so it may be (may it be!) a long while before I have to use the furnace again.

My painting is another fall one — have I mentioned that I just love the fall colours?  :)   But I’m starting to think of snow scenes to use for this year’s Christmas card….

“Edge of the Woods” is available to purchase here.

Oh my gosh! This is so beautiful, Nicole!! To have just an iota of this talent and I’d be a happy girl (let me run with that one, k??? LOL). These trees are gorgeous, truly. I like the impasto effect as well. Adds to the sky, methinks. If I could paint like this, I don’t think I’d have a single other hobby (well, except for reading and that will never change)!

That is such a gorgeous painting Nicole! Fall is my favorite season and you’ve captured the essence of it beautifully. Your ability to render light is just incredible!

Really pretty. It looks like my backyard. Fall is wonderful…except for the rain. Sheryl

This painting is gorgeous. I love the colors and the texture.

Thank you for your kind comment on my bog.

Checking out your blog has left me with a desire to buy some needles and yarn and find a friend who can teach me how to knit. Although I don’t know how to knit, I love looking at the yarn and fabric on the Purl Soho site.

I’m glad that you’ve recovered from your accident! I’m looking forward to seeing more paintings and knitting projects.
